15 Key learning from the delivery of the MIE Curriculum included: • Language used – not all of the women were as fluent in the language of the host country and this could hamper progress made; • Timing of Training – not all of the participants were able to attend all elements of the training due to a range of factors, although this was unavoidable for the Project; • Length of Training – participants did indicate that they would have benefited from more time being available for the training; • Use of the e-Platform – not all of the women engaged with were comfortable using the online elements of the learning, preferring the face- to-face interactions; and • Integrating with Women from the host country – involving women that are from the host country in the training should have been included from the outset, to further aid with the integration process and when the micro-social networks were established. Comments from participants following the delivery of the training included: ‘It was great learning from my peers’ lived experiences as a migrant’ ‘In general I feel empowered to be a leader of my community’ ‘I am interested in being involved in the next aspects of the Project’. ‘I can now support other migrants and want to make a difference’
